In this fast-paced timelapse, I take a dead laptop battery and give it a second life by transforming it into a portable flashlight and USB power bank! โ™ป๏ธ

Using salvaged lithium cells, a few basic components, and some creativity, I build a useful device perfect for emergencies, outdoor use, or as a backup power source.

๐Ÿงฐ What You’ll See in This Video:

โœ… Disassembling a broken slim laptop battery
โœ… Connecting 3 lithium cells in parallel
โœ… Using a USB power bank module + DC-DC boost converter
โœ… Mounting all parts inside custom-cut plexiglass
โœ… Testing the power output and LED flashlight
โœ… Real-world use cases (backup lighting, off-grid charging)

๐Ÿ“ฆ Parts Used:

  • 3x 3.7V lithium-ion cells (from old laptop battery)
  • Power bank USB module (salvaged from a broken charger)
  • DC-DC boost converter (3.7V to 12V)
  • 12V LED strip
  • Plexiglass panel, screws & nuts
  • Basic soldering tools

๐Ÿ‘‰ A great example of how e-waste can be turned into something practical!
