🔥💻 Can you boil water with a CPU while mining crypto?

In this video I try a crazy DIY experiment — using an old LGA775 CPU as a water heater while mining Monero! 😄

The idea was simple:
If a CPU produces heat under 100% load… maybe it can boil water? ☕

So I removed the heatsink, glued a stainless steel bowl directly onto the processor using thermal paste (very professional engineering 😅), poured 200ml of water, and started mining with XMRig to stress the CPU to maximum.

📊 Starting water temperature: 27°C
⏱ After 1 hour of mining: 41°C

Did it boil?
No.
Did we learn something?
Absolutely!

This is a timelapse experiment just for fun — testing how much real heat a CPU can generate and whether crypto mining could theoretically heat water.

⚠️ Warning: Don’t try this with expensive hardware unless you’re ready to sacrifice it 😄
